Phonons in WS2 crystal

Phonon symmetry in WS2 crystal ( bulk, monolayer and poly-layer slabs) is analyzed using the site symmetry approach for 3D space and 2D layer groups. Results of phonon frequencies hybrid DFT calculations are presented. The changes in Raman and IR active frequencies are considered for slabs with increasing thickness.
