Electrochemical power sources in alternative energy– fuel cells

The traditional hydrocarbon-based economy has created a number of undesirable side effects, such as resource scarcity and environmental pollution. One of the technological solutions is to use electrochemical power sources, especially fuel cells. The basic principles of fuel cell structure and their classification, their role in solid state ionics and solid electrolytes as one of the basic components will be discussed.
