Investigation of the coating process parameters to provide high-quality lithium coatings and creation of lithium coating material prototype (2018)

Institute of Solid State Physics of the University of Latvia (ISSP UL) implements the research project "Growth and Employment" within the framework of the Operational Program 1.2.1. specific support objective "Increase private sector investment in R & D", measure 1.2.1.1. "Support for the development of new products and technologies within the competence centers".

The aim of the study is to investigate the parameters of the technological lithium coating process to ensure the production of quality and industry-compliant lithium-coating material, ensuring the purity of lithium coatings and the homogeneity of microstructure.

During the project, the technological process of lithium coatings will be investigated and the key technological parameters and constructive solutions that affect the quality of lithium coatings will be determined. The pilot plant's heat transfer nodes will be developed, with which it is planned to provide a prototype of a qualitative and industry-specific lithium-coating material.
