Enthusiasts, engineers, software developers, entrepreneurs, designers with hardware ideas, or desire to contribute to the high-technology development are invited to join "Student Deep Science Hackathon", which will take place on October 20-22 at the House of Nature, University of Latvia (Jelgavas Street 1, Riga).

The event will be a three-day workshop for the creation and development of new innovative ideas for students and high school students who want to form interdisciplinary teams with innovation potential with an emphasis on interesting ideas in the fields of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics).

At the end of the event teams will present the commercialization plan to the jury, scientists, investors, and others. During the event, participants will be provided with mentor support, a co-working online environment, and information for commercialization steps.

Anyone who is a high school or university student over the age of 16, from any country, regardless of skills and background with or without a team are welcome to participate in "Student Deep Science Hackathon".

Hackathon's working language will be English. Attendance of the event is free of charge.

The event is organised by the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) and the ISSP UL Foundation in cooperation with the UL Students' Council and the youth organization "The Raccoons". This will be the 5th Student Deep Science Hackathon.

The event prize of 2000 EUR is provided by the ISSP UL Foundation.
