Photonics is a very active field of research which includes basic research on photonics components, novel materials, laser and light sources as well as new optical methods, for example within sensing technologies. Photonics is also an engineering field which is being increasingly used commercially. Many future applications include cross disciplinary expertise. With an MSc degree in Photonics, you may pursue both an academic and an industrial career. A degree in Photonics Engineering is an excellent foundation for a career in production, research and development in industry as well as academia, starting with a PhD degree. The MSc in Photonics, offered by DTU, is based on input from the photonics industry itself. It is formed by industry expectations for future applications of photonics in society and on the current research topics pursued at DTU. Seminar program · Welcome speech by Danish Ambassador Per Carlsen · Presentation on the activities of the faculty and the Master programme and joint courses at M.Sc. and Ph.D. level · Practical information on enrolment, application, financing including scholarships, and study life in Denmark. · Q&A session and networking
