Presentations

Recommended poster size is A1 and the page orientation is vertical.
Please note that the presentations time limit is:

  • 40 min - plenary talks;
  • 30 min - invited talks;
  • 20 min - oral talks.

Also please note that for presentations computers connected to the projectors will be available on site thus use of personal computers won't be necessary.

Venue

House of Science, Academic Centre of the University of Latvia. Address: 3 Jelgavas street, Riga

House of Science is located on the left bank of Daugava. The closest accommodation available in Radisson Blu Daugava hotel, but the venue is within easy reach from the Old Town and Āgenskalns neighbourhood..

The best way of getting to the venue is a 17-minute walk. Directions:

Getting to the venue from further away

Personal transport.  Due to the construction of the new Unversity's buildig currently there is NO parking lot near the buildings of the Academic Center available for the attendees. However, bicycle parking racks are readily available just outside of Academic Center.

Public transport. The venue is accessible by the public transportation:

  • Trolleybuses No 27 and No 9 - stop “Nacionālā bibliotēka” (National Library).
  • Bus No 23 - stop “LU akdēmiskais centrs”(Academic Center of UL)
  • Buses No 10, 26, 3, 4, 7, 8, 21, 22, 25, 32, 38, 39, 43, 54, and 55 - stop “Nacionālā bibliotēka” (National Library)
  • Tram no. 1, 2, 5, and 10 - stop “Nacionālā bibliotēka” (National Library)
  • Train - station “Torņakalns”

Getting to the venue from the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia

The healthier way of getting between the venue and the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia is a 20 minute walk over the bridge where a panoramic view of Daugava river and Riga center can be enyojed. 

Public transport can also be taken to cross this distance. All the nearest public transit stops (in the direction of city center) including the ones next to National Library will take you over the bridge.
