In the project “The Internet of Things system for the diagnosis of conditionally pathogenic bacteria, monitoring and limiting the use of antibiotics” are involved researchers from Department of Molecular Biology and Microbiology and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Biosciences and Technologies together with partners from our Institute of Solid State Physics, SIA "Ogres Piens", Limbaži municipality z/s "Līči", Brunava parish micro-enterprise "Liepiņas", "Līcīši", "Latvian Breed Animal Breeders' Union" and veterinarian-consultant Aiva Gailuma.

The aim of the project is to develop an Internet of Things (IoT) system that will use the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology and algorithms based on artificial intelligence to analyze the spectrum of low-frequency biosignals from dairy animals (cows, goats and sheep) for the diagnosis of conditionally pathogenic bacteria.

Researchers from our institute will develop the IoT system electronic components and base program elements.
