On January 29 at 9.30, a solemn opening of the Baltic Biomaterial Excellence Center project will take place in Riga Technical University Faculty of Material Science and Applied Chemistry, Paula Valdena Street 3/7. The project will be opened by the President of Latvia Egils Levits, a representative of the European Commission Directorate General Research & Innovation, Widening Stefan Weiers and RTU Rector Academician Leonid Ribicki.

BBCE will ensure sustainable quality of the research and technology transfer potential in the field of biomaterials for medical applications, mainly focusing on areas possessing the best available scientific and research capacities – in particular on research of biomaterials, advanced materials, nanotechnology, biomedicine and biopharmacy.
