Marking the 107th anniversary of the University of Latvia (LU), a ceremonial Senate meeting was held on September 25 to honor newly elected Emeritus Professors, Honorary Doctors, and distinguished scholars.
Among those honored was Dr. habil. phys. Māris Ozoliņš, Professor at the Department of Optometry and Vision Science and Leading Researcher at the ISSP UL Laboratory of Adaptive Optics Technologies. The prestigious title of UL Emeritus Professor was awarded to Prof. Ozoliņš in recognition of his outstanding, long-standing contributions to optics and materials science, as well as higher education.
