On 29 October, the annual BioPhoT conference will take place at the House of Science, University of Latvia. The event will gather researchers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to highlight the achievements of BioPhoT innovation projects, outline future development steps, and explore strategies for transforming scientific excellence into globally scalable innovations.
A central theme of the conference will be the technology journey from laboratory research to commercialization, addressing critical challenges and growth opportunities in science-industry collaboration within Latvia.
The day's agenda features key panel discussions and expert presentations which will focus on the development of BioPhoT projects and how to further researcher's ideas outside the innovation platform.
Representatives and research project teams from the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) will also be a part of the conference program, for example, our BioPhoT project teams will showcase their newly developed technology prototypes in the Expo exhibition area and present project outcomes during pitch sessions, opening doors for prospective industry partnerships.
