On September 21, an Information Day dedicated to the opportunities provided by the European Union’s research and innovation framework programme, Horizon Europe, and other research support instruments was held at the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL).
During the Information Day, experts from the Latvian Council of Science (LZP) Horizon Europe National Contact Point provided a comprehensive overview of current funding sources, upcoming calls for proposals, and application requirements.
Attendees were introduced to ISSP UL’s previous experience and statistics, offered initiatives, opportunities for researcher recruitment and mobility, European research support mechanisms, as well as innovation and commercialization tools. At the end of the seminar, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss specific nuances of application preparation with the LZP experts.
