On September 24, the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) and the University of Latvia (UL) will bring together researchers, technology developers, industry representatives, and innovators for the Industry Day and "Sensing the Future" events. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest technologies, engage in discussions with industry leaders, visit laboratories, and build new partnerships. 

The event consists of two complementary parts: 

Morning Program – Industry Day (Location: ISSP UL, Ķengaraga iela 8, Riga

Bringing together research and industry, the morning session offers technology presentations, industry feedback, Q&A sessions, and laboratory tours. Researchers from the SWEB and FeLow-D projects, alongside industry partners, will present promising technologies in the fields of functional coatings, smart windows, additive manufacturing, sensors, biomedicine, energy harvesting, and water purification. 

Afternoon Program – "Sensing the Future" (Location: UL House of Science, Jelgavas iela 3, Riga

Organized within the BioPhoT program framework, the afternoon session invites participants to discover the technologies shaping the future of energy, communications, and advanced manufacturing. The itinerary features a conversation with Prof. Koen Bertels on quantum computing and DNA data storage, various technology presentations and the 40-Second Matchmaker – a dynamic networking session for establishing new contacts and collaborations.
