On 4 June, the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) welcomed Irina Rubinčika, the Head of the Representative Office of Innovation and Technology in Israel. The primary goal of the visit was to introduce the guest to the institute’s core research areas, scientific achievements, and innovation development potential, as well as to discuss future opportunities for international cooperation and technology transfer.
At the Organic Materials Laboratory, discussions focused on current advancements in photonic integrated circuits. Afterwards, at the Thin Films Laboratory the guest was introduced to research on functional thin films and their practical applications, like photochromic coatings. The visit concluded at the Energy Materials Laboratory, where researchers presented ISSP UL’s latest innovations and future solutions in battery technology development.
