On 28 May, The Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) hosted its monthly "Scientists' Breakfast," this time tackling the digital world. The institute learned about the latest digital threats in Latvia – such as phishing, malware, and ransomware – guided by CERT.LV cybersecurity expert Daina Ozoliņa.
The highlight of the day was the interactive investigation game "FIND THE HACKER." Working in teams of four to five, participants with no prior technical background stepped into the shoes of cyber-detectives, analyzing a simulated cyberattack on an international company to uncover the culprit – a highly educating activity and a nice team-building experience for the ISSP UL team!
