The "Science for Latvia 2026" traveling exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science, offers a unique opportunity to explore 12 Latvian scientific excellences and their contributions to societal and research development. During the month of May, the exhibition and the science calendar highlight the work of the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) and the achievements of its researchers, emphasizing the institute's significance within the Latvian research landscape.

Visit the exhibition free of charge from 5 May until 29 May on display at ISSP UL and at the KURZEME shopping center (5 May – 29 May).

Twelve scientific excellences, representing 12 leading Latvian scientific institutions, demonstrate the strength and diversity of Latvian science within the European Research Area. In cooperation with the science communication platform researchLatvia, the "Science for Latvia 2026" calendar and exhibition reflect the questions explored by Latvian scientists that impact our society, environment, and culture.

Throughout the year, the exhibition will travel to various higher education institutions and other public and cultural venues across Latvia. By scanning QR codes, visitors can watch 12 unique video stories detailing each scientist's research. This initiative not only promotes the visibility of science but also strengthens the connection between the scientific community and the public.
