Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) Laboratory of Micro and Nanodevices is looking for a Researcher for Sensor Casing and PCB Design (full-time, indefinite term). The laboratory works with developing photonic & electric sensors and microfluidics devices.


Main duties:

  • Designing various casing and housings for biosensors
  • PCB design and integration into biosensor casings
  • Characterization of results and comprehensive documentation of experimental findings
  • Preparing experimental summaries and technical reports
  • Working as part of the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Physics, Electronics, Materials Science, or related field
  • Experience in PCB design and 3D CAD design
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Independence in organizing work, executing tasks, and delivering results; ability to foresee and resolve potential issues during experiments
  • Eagerness to learn and acquire new knowledge, including administrative tasks such as preparing procurement lists for necessary materials
  • A high sense of responsibility, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and active engagement in laboratory and institute events
