The 9 April meeting of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (LAS) took on a more festive guise as the LAS Grand Medal and multiple Academy awards for 2025 were given out.
The Grand Medal was awarded to the Head and Leading Researchers of our Laboratory of Thin Films Juris Purāns.
LAS Awards were received by multiple faces from the younger generation of ISSP UL researchers – Rihards Ruska, Aivars Vembris, Adriana Mauručaite, and Didzis Salnājs.
The Institute feels great joy and pride for the achievements of our scientists!
