On March 26, the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) welcomed a group of bright students participating in the State Physics Olympiad for an educational excursion. The talented young minds were introduced to the institute's active research environment in the field of materials science, bridging the gap between school theory and practice.

During the tour, the students were given a firsthand look at several of the institute's specialized research facilities. They visited the Spectroscopy Laboratory, the Energy Materials Laboratory, and the Micro and Nano Devices Laboratory, where they learned about ongoing projects and the advanced technologies our scientists use to push the boundaries of physics.
