From 19 to 21 February, the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) took part in the study festival Universs@LU, which brought together music, knowledge, excitement, and inspiration at the House of Science of the University of Latvia Academic Centre.
This year, the festival offered a diverse programme featuring interactive activities, hands-on experiments, creative workshops, career consultations, and opportunities to meet University of Latvia students, academic staff, and researchers.
Among them were ISSP UL researchers, who engaged young visitors through scientific demonstrations showcasing the physical properties of light, sound, electricity, liquids, and various materials – illustrating how these principles power widely used technologies today and open the door to future innovations.
