On 29 January, we started the new year’s cycle of a long-standing tradition of the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) — Scientists’ Breakfasts. This time, institute researchers and staff were joined by Aivars Starikovs, Board Member of the Latvian Hydrogen Association and Hydrogen Europe, who shared insights from his 20 years of experience in the field, covering projects, challenges, and his vision for the future.
He introduced us to several successfully completed and ongoing projects involving the Latvian Hydrogen Association, including hydrogen-powered buses operating in Latvia, and international-scale initiatives like testing hydrogen vehicles at several airports in the Baltic Sea region. Aivars also highlighted future development directions and potential areas of collaboration with ISSP UL – happy to welcome such knowledgeable guests!
