Over the past few months, the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL), published a series of interviews titled “No Borders in Science” on its website and social media channels, introducing readers to our researchers whose career and life paths have taken them beyond Latvia’s borders – through studies, international work, or foreign origins.
In these conversations, they shared how their journeys in science began, what motivates them in their daily work, and how ISSP UL supports professional growth and the development of new research directions.
The interview series highlighted the institute’s international environment, openness to collaboration, and readiness to welcome talented researchers from around the world whose goals and ideas align with the vision of ISSP UL and whose passion drives progress.
