The Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) has successfully passed the ISO 9001:2015 recertification audit, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to a high-quality, well-structured, and continuously improving management system. The audit evaluated ISSP UL’s processes that support education, consultations, research, characterization, prototype development and technology transfer in the field of materials science.
The auditors concluded that ISSP UL consistently meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, maintains effective internal communication and leadership involvement, and ensures ongoing improvements across its management and support systems, including infrastructure maintenance, equipment monitoring, and client satisfaction processes.
Successfully completing this recertification demonstrates that ISSP UL operates with a robust, transparent, and well-maintained quality management system that supports both scientific excellence and high-quality service delivery. It confirms the institute’s readiness to meet the needs of researchers, partners, industry clients, and the wider academic community, while continuing to strengthen its internal processes and long-term development goals.
