On 20 November, during the autumn general meeting of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (LAS), new members were elected. We are proud to announce that this high honour has been awarded to representatives of the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL). 

ISSP UL Director Andris Anspoks and Deputy Director for Education and Head of the Spectroscopy Laboratory Anatolijs Šarakovskis have been elected as Full Members, while Head of the Energy Materials Laboratory Gints Kučinskis has been elected as a Corresponding Member. 

The institute sincerely congratulates our colleagues on this significant recognition and professional achievement. Their election confirms the importance of the institute’s scientific excellence and impact both in Latvia and internationally.
