With the new academic year underway, school and university student groups will be visiting the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) more and more frequently to get a closer look at the everyday work of physicists and scientists.
On 12 September, we welcomed students from Riga 88th Secondary School (Rīgas 88. vidusskola) – they were greeted by ISSP UL Director Andris Anspoks, who gave them an introduction to the institute’s structure and work. Afterwards, the students toured the Spectroscopy Laboratory, the Energy Materials Laboratory, the Optical Materials Laboratory, and the Micro and Nano Devices Laboratory.
