FM&NT-2009 is organised by Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia
The conference is organised in co-operation with projects ERANET “MATERA” and National Research programme in Materials Science of Latvia
We are also kindly asking you to forward this information to any of your colleagues who may be interested in attending the FM&NT-2009.
Scope
The purpose of the conference is to bring together scientists, engineers, and students from universities, research institutes and related industrial companies aware from the field of advanced material science and materials technologies.
Official language. The official language of the Conference is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

The event will take place in Riga, Kengaraga 8, in the Conference hall of the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP LU), 31 March-3 April, 2009.

The most advisable way to come in time in peak hours
25 min from Opera to Kengaraga str.+ 5 min walking to ISSP (direction to Daugava river)
You can buy the tram ticket in the first wagon, preferable to pay with coins – 50 sant/ticket
or, better – you can buy tickets in news-stall (NARVESSEN etc.).- 40 sant/ticket.
Changing the transport, You have to buy a new ticket.
You have to go to Opera and get in the tram No 7, direction – DOLE (You have to wait on the side opposite to Opera building)
Walking Konventa seta - Opera – 5-6 min
time in tram Nr 7 from Opera to Kengaraga iela – 22 min
Walking from tram stop to ISSP – 5-7 min
