Project number KC-PI-2017/105

Duration of the first phase 28.09.2018 - 31.10.2021.

Project scientific leader: Dr. Phys. Sergejs Fomins

Project description:

The aim of the project is to develop and commercialize novel wavefront sensors for correction of optical media turbidity for application with adaptive optics systems.

The new type of optical sensor is based on the encoded diffraction structure method, which uses numerical algorithms to evaluate the phase of wavefront. The developed method and product will use a natural objects instead of a laser guide stars to provide an opportunity for accurately measure the optical distortions generated by the different optical medias.

The maximum financing of the first project stage is EUR 25 000 with an ERDF support of 90%.

Development of the Feasibility Study, Market Research, and Commercial Strategy takes place during the 1st project stage.
