The aim of the project is focused on investigation of spectral characteristics of wide band gap macro-size and nano-structured materials consisting of III element group nitrides such as AlN and hBN, some metal oxides ZnO, TiO2, SnO2 and oxyfluoride glass ceramics in order to elaborate luminescent materials with definite luminescent properties sensitive to environmental gasses (oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide etc.), possessing properties of gas sensors, as well as to develop convertors of ultraviolet radiation into visible light available for new visible light emitters.
